All cats are special in one way or another, but this one… well, she's a tortie. Anyone who has a tortie knows what I mean. She's funny, social and talks a lot. Not in a disturbing way, but very softly and she always answers if someone talks to her. If anything, she sounds more like a bird than a cat. Irja, as I call her, can charm the wits out of anybody it pleases her to get friendly with, but she used to be a very shy girl when she was younger. I'm so happy she has changed so dramatically because nowadays she is one of the first of the cats that comes to greet visitors.
Irja is a very long cat in everything (body, head and tail) and you can be fooled to believe she's light as a feather, but she weighs 4.5 kg.

My deeply loved Irja died 24 August 2005. Above are the last pictures taken when she was out in the garden, which she loved so much. She is missed by all her cats, but most of all by me... She was my soul mate. You will always be with me in my heart.
